Never been here, but that looks a nice little one tucked away. Over the years I've found I don't find the vibe I want within the Rhondda valleys themselves - too much rubbish, vandalism and bloody trail-biking halfwits - but the hills around clearly contain some hidden gems. My nephew used to live at Nant y Moel and I don't think he ever walked the hills... That must have been a LONNNGGG walk?
Yeah, I was chuffed to find this, I wasn't hopeful about how easy it would be from the map. I love these hills, but the valleys and the rubbish etc is hard to take. It was a very long walk, can't remember exactly how long now, but I was very tired by the time I finished. Terrific countryside though, especially up at Carn-yr-Hyrddod.
Today I was looking over towards Mynydd Caerau from Mynydd Dinas and Foel Fynyddau behind Port Talbot. First "proper" hills since covid, I absolutely knackered despite the short walk. Lovely to see the mountains again though.
