Magnificent
Somewhat bittersweet memories of this fort, as my hamstring went ping on the walk up Moel Eilio from here, followed by excruciating pain trying to get down off Moel Cynghorian without flagging down a rescue helicopter. But that really is a lovely photo.
I'd put it off for years because I knew the sight of Elidir Fawr's western face up close really would be enough to make me weep... so chose the day with the worst forecast. But one of the most naturally defensive sites I've been to.
