What a wonderful site, I spent a long time here and would have stayed longer except every insect that could fly or bite seemed attracted to me today

It's looking very nice and green. A good time to visit (apart from the flies, which are really bad this year I think)
Something quite magical about this stone circle, probably the way it just appears from within quite a dense forest, the light and an oasis like feel to the place. Although there was the trace of a footpath through the stones it was clearly less visited than I had been expecting. There was the remains of a firepit beyond the stones and sitting just inside the tree line I'm guessing from last year or earlier.
Good to see it looking clean, myself and some pupils cleaned the site a couple of years ago removing many bags of rubbish, broken glass etc
The flying and biting creatures were truly awful this time, my arms and legs drained (shorts and a T a bad move, however, too hot to contemplate anything else).
The site did look clean and fresh, what a wonderful thing to do, both for the site and the pupils, big thanks to them all. Guessing its a prime site for wild camping some years, well hidden and relatively few visitors.
