Ah, how lovely. I was last there in December, it absolutely poured with rain on the walk up, to the point where I had to go into the wood and take my soaking wet trousers off (seriously). No such problems for you!
Thanks tjj can see why it would be one of your favourites, think its become one of mine as well. thesweetcheat, reminds me of the nursery rhyme 'if you go down in the woods today your sure of a big surprise'.
Haha, luckily no-one else was stupid enough to be there in a downpour. It was sunny by the time I got to Manton Down though.
