Well it's right on the edge of Dartmoor so it's away from all the hubbub that occurs on the moors. No one has posted on it for 4 and a half years, only two in 7 years, that's probably it.
What a coincidence! I was there on Friday just gone. I have to say the cairn circle (as an example of its type) far outshines its rather ragged neighbouring stone circle which must have been impressive once, certainly one of the bigger circles on Dartmoor. I was going to post some pictures but you've saved me the hassle. One of the easier sites to get to though as the fieldnotes have observed, the OS map is somewhat unhelpful in its description of the site.
Why have I never been here? That looks amazing.
