That was a helluva of walk, I was in bits by the time I got back to the car. The cairn just up from there I couldn't find. Going back this weekend :-)

You been up near the top of Benachally to the monument?

From what I remember, at the base it looked a lot bigger than needed for the monument. Lots of stones. Maybe footprint of old cairn? Probably just wishful thinking. Memory is hazy.

All good B & J, went up with Tiompan in one of our, more likely his, rock art hunting days and we had similar thoughts. So I need to go back up again. Beautiful area, planned a few days hunting around there so probably will go back up this summer and have a good look this time :-)
