These two standing stones interested me the most simply because they looked so much like the two stones at Bagbie near Carsluith which also seemed oddly out of place

Just like the wee stones near Ardlair as well, oddly out of place as you say :-)
Some great photos of Ardlair on this site. I have used Huntly as a base for exploring on a couple of occasions, and seeing how close this site is, I realise just how little Ive seen.
