This is a close up image of the larger of the two grave mounds here, which must be at least three metres tall.

Wonderful to see these sites being brought to life for us all. Have not visited these mounds, however, notice they are just up the road from my favourite village of Eext so hopefully will get the chance soon, notice a bit of spring sunshine thrown in as well, you were spoiled.
There are footpaths that will take you from Eext into the heart of the woodland. And some more fine mounds by Galgwanderveen.
I was so lucky with the weather - sun all day and temperatures in the low 20s. Just perfect for woodland walking.
