There is a lovely little natural arch and cave shelter right below the Largybeg stones at the left-hand side of the Old Red Sandstone spur to the right of this stone (not the further off headland) in this photo. Also chunky blocks of Pyroclastic Pumice debris scattered around the shore from the Goatfell Caldera Super Volcano detonation of 60 Million Years ago. I've got a chunk in my bathroom!

Thank you - our week there was wonderful, despite the pretty mixed weather. I can see why you love going there so much and feel like we barely scratched the surface of all there is to see, not just prehistory but the hills, the coast, the wildlife.
