Isn't it just the bee's knees? Good of you to approach it from a different route. I'm always so scared of getting hopelessly lost that I stick doggedly to the time-tested tracks though even then I can't seem to avoid one or two unplanned detours just to add some interest to the expedition.
Hi ironstone. The trail from the North was fortunately well marked although exposed in as much as not a soul to be seen and no phone signal. As I am nearly always by myself I have got into the habit of always taking my GPS (with OS maps loaded) with me as there is nothing worse than doubt when in an exposed spot.
