What a wee world! My OH was born with Dronley mud on her boots. She grew up a few hunner yairds from this. We were back up at Liff Boneyaird paying respects on 24 Dec and took the drive back down hame via the back road fae Birkie tae Auchterhoose, Newtyle, along the Wolf Stane road, Coupar Angus, Woodside/ Burrelton, Scone, Perth and then doon the road. We had tae pull in right at the wee kink in the road at this very spot tae let a tractor and sludgey trailer pass. Used to walk up here all the time from her Mum's hoose many years ago. Very last time I saw Mr Mackenzie and his whippets was on this very road (that was nearly 21 years ago... oh my...).
Edited to add. A strange as yet unedentified bump at the side of a nowhere road in a Forestry Plantation can carry a lot of connections! I hope they find out what this is! A much younger Me and my OH used to wander up through this field and wood en route to Auchterhouse Hill. I always assumed it was just field clearance... but there is a LOT of souterrain activity in these fields. Cheers for posting this!

Nae bother HB, there seems to be a lot of prehistory in the area.
