Just spent a few days down in that valley, at the Beaver sanctuary( the cluster of buildings at about 3 O'clock in this image. Great place to unwind. These hills and their cairns were calling me. I might have known you had already been here.
Beavers? Recall I parked near there a couple of years back - at Badger's Lodge on the way to Pen Carreg Gopa. Great hills, but very difficult going... as you would expect from Pumlumon. Not sure beavers would get on with badgers?
We passed Badgers lodge on the way, the road is quite an adventure on it's own. Badly potholed now. The Beavers are doing quite well there, don't know about Badgers. I might go back and take a stroll up on top one day.
Yeah - Moel y Llyn opposite has its own 'Lady of the Lake' legend... as in nearby "Caer Arglwyddes", 'The Lady's Field'. And of course Led Zeppelin were here...
