I would love to visit here one day. A place of wonder.
If you DO make it, I would recommend the walk starting at The Roaches (there's roadside parking if you're early!) Lud's Church is at the extremity of the trek. Try to pick a fine day to fully appreciate the moorland surroundings. Simon Armitage's programme on Sir Gawain is on Youtube. (If you're short on time, start at 39 mins.)
