Yup, it is....much of my time on this trip I saw little stonework among the 25ish sites...nice to see some proper courses. Ta for 'effort' bit, but I don't think it takes t h a t much - folk should just remember to tread on the barnacled rock to avoid a over t and head or camera bashing - and, of course, consulting tide tables, though tbt the idea of getting there on a fine mid/ late evening with a little tent, being marooned and watching those starry Galloway skies while the waves lap in the dark does appeal greatly to an oddbod like moi
If you did I'd gladly give you my recommendations..reckon I know the place well enough now. Plus there's the Gulf Stream..had less than one day of rain in over three holidays, ie 25daysish, and temp is 5C up on Central Belt over winter. Scotland's answer to south Cornwall..can point you to a few palm trees. Even long weekend/three days'd be worth your time. Not meaning to sound like someone from the tourist board, but a nice wee chill in the cerebral sense awaits : )
