Okay, now I'm very jealous. I've often wondered what it looks like up here.
It's a good place tsc. I'd of liked better weather though. Wind chill of easily -5 to -10 for most of the walk round the top and I wasn't feeling great that week so I found the day hard work to be honest. I had hoped to include Threestone Burn stone circle in the walk but something had to give.
Your notes make it sound like a bit of a horrible slog across the top as well. But one day I must come here.
Don't let my grumping put you off :-) The actual top is fine if you stick to the flag stones.
Ha! It doesn't. I was expecting similar horrors on Kinder last year but picked a dry spell and it was better than expected.
Good god that's SNOW up there. We were in bright sunshine today. I even felt too hot on the way home and opened the sunroof on the car. It'd be bad enough getting stuck in a bog, but getting stuck in a snowy bog would be just too bad. Sorry about your boots.
Only a few days before the hills were completely covered in snow. Three days after I had to pop to the shop to buy sun cream it was that hot. We get odd weather nowadays.
