Wonderful site D... the sort that makes me want to go right now. Some may disagree but, as at Minninglow, the trees make it for me.
Good site sir, like you I like the trees but a horrendous day i.e tracks turned into rivers etc.
Great looking site, I agree that the trees make it. Is the whole thing man-made? Pretty impressive mound if so.
Like Gladman's recent Dartmoor pics, the hideous weather makes for atmosphere from the point of view of those of us looking at this from a nice dry computer screen :)
As far as know it is, there are a lot of similar barrows in the area in fact it's hoaching with them :-)
