Southern summit cairn. Assumption is the placement of this quartzite block is the result of reconstruction... note the way it fits snugly into the cairn fabric. Surely that can’t be the undisturbed original arrangement still in situ after millennia? Surely not? Needless to say I’d be very interested to hear from anyone who took part in the exercise – or otherwise has details regarding this.
