Unfortunately Abbey Craig’s monument always – for me – conjures up farcically tragi-comic visions of Mel Gibson... hardly a man with the, er, most balanced of world views, shall we say? Nevertheless, the sight of the fort from Dumyat’s Bronze Age cairn is pretty special... with Stirling Castle rising beyond. So sad that almost a whole generation of Scots appear to believe Gibson’s farcically warped Braveheart. Almost... let’s hear it for those who seek out the truth.

The actor and film director Mr Gibson's world views are perfectly fine compared to some who prefer "Peace through War" and "Bombing Civilians For Peace". His support for the Clanranald Trust and Dun Carron is much appreciated here in Scotland. Lang may his lum reek.
Whatever... if you truly believe the lunatic views of Mr Gibson - the subject of well-documented allegations of racist, homophobic, antisemitic and misogynist misdemeanours - are 'perfectly fine', there is nothing more to say. But please... do not presume to speak for Scotland. I can assure you, from long experience, you most certainly do not.
