It's a beautiful spot, 5 minutes earlier we were surrounded by the most amazing bluebell display. The Tarrenau are great places for putting cairns (although there isn't one on the highest summit), big hills overlooking the wide Dyfi plain.
That sounds lovely, I love bluebells. I've been thinking of a trip to this area recently, hopefully next year. Your photos of your trip are great, love the greens.
Thanks very much :) We were lucky with the weather, it rained the day before this and it poured on the Sunday morning before turning into a lovely sunny day again. Everything looks especially green after a bit of rain. My highlight from this trip is to come though...
Have you climbed Cader? I'm guessing it's on your list, if you're going that way. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps tomorrow and visit Kinder.
Never been to the actual top of Cader but walked in the area many times as a child. I have fond memories of Tal-y-llyn. My earliest memory of visiting any site of age is Castell y Bere.
Hope you enjoy your trip to Kinder. Summit peat hags are fun and I liked the trigpoint if you get a chance to visit.
Cadair is wonderful mountain, been in my mind since I read Susan Cooper's The Grey King when I was about 9.
Kinder was ace, I'm hoping I found the summit! Walked back to Edale along the edge via the trig, which would make a much better summit to be honest. The cairn is very good too, but didn't find the cavern.
pretty point of view

Glad you had a good trip to Kinder, agree about the trigpoint :-)
