That's a pretty good profile for a hill....
It used to be a very different profile. Most of the middle section of the hill has been removed by quarrying.

Not sure of the "sacredness" of this site. Might be news to most of Dumbarton's inhabitants past and present. Dumbarton Rock might have a more legitimate claim, but then again... who decides nowadays on what constitutes "sacred". Or is this conferred status because David Byrne was born here?
If David Byrne was born here that's good enough for me.....
