The Mam C highlights the fabulous location of what appeared to us to be the platform cairn. Mynydd Troed, incidentally, towers beyond. The base of the modern cairn – as noted last year – appears to have no prehistoric footprint, more’s the pity.

Needed to come back following the Mam C being taken suddenly ill here last year.... the Black Mountains don't have spectacular monuments, but guess they don't need to be.
