If any body of water is worthy of the epithet ‘sacred well’... surely this is it? Sited in utter darkness, the light from my – well, the Mam C’s – torch reveals what a flickering Upper Paeolithic torch of a very different nature once illuminated. Yeah, does the passing of millennia amount to jack all within environments such as this? A rhetorical question.
