Don't mince your words Carl, are you saying it's no longer "the finest viewpoint in the county" ?!
You're supposed to be able to see Lincoln Cathedral and York Minster on a good day and they're blimmin miles away

Very flat round there then. There must be a power station or two to spot between there and York as well :)
All I could see was a high security fence, the top of what appeared to be the reservoir and a few trees plnted around its perimeter!
If a Hillfort was built here it certainly would'nt hve been much of an uphill struggle to reach it!
I guess in the flatlands you have to take what you can get. Maybe it was more of a spot to gather and have a picnic rather than have a big fight.
(ooh I do like the sculptural qualities of a nice power station. but that's just me)
