Messy creatures, reading Carl's notes, and you realise the rubbish will stay there forever, unless of course you get the Forestry Commission people to take a few black bags up there and clear the stuff..
God what a disgrace. A classic case of neglect leading to more neglect. If cadw, the forestry comission or even a group of local volunteers cleared it completely and kept on top of it for maybe a year, it might be clear long term. The bullring up my way used to be a rubbish tip/car dumping ground, but community engagement and an effort to clear it asap when rubbish happened meant its very pleasant now.
It would be nice to think it could be reclaimed like that, its a great cairn at the start/end of a horseshoe ridge with much prehistoric interest. Now I've posted the pics I will contact various people to see if anyone wants to do anything.
What a sad sight.

Yep, it is very sad. I took a bin bag with me, but once I noticed the hypodermic I backed away.

I've emailed you about this.
Gotcha, I've emailed you back - let me know if it doesn't get through cos I've sent an attachment.
Didn't come through :( Which is odd cos normally I get all sorts of attachments!
It was quite big, I'll reduce the file size and resend.
