So the old dewponds still exist, wonderful, used to have that book and loved the grainy photos of the 'Neolithic Hill forts', and the thought of wolves guarding the Pewsey hill fort gatehouse....
I've just been given the book by one of my sons (maybe it was yours?!!!), but haven't finished it yet. Funny you should mention wolves as having only read about 10 pages so far, they seem a little obsessed with them! Maybe we forget in this day and age just how many dangerous animals there were roaming around in the Neolithic.
Could be if he bought it at 'Save the Children' shop...It was Martinsell Hill with the 'wolf platforms' which has a Saxon road way below it... (and of course Neolithic dew ponds!) Beautiful photo as well.
