Looking south across the cairn. The monument has a very sizable diameter, but whether this is a result of the material being flattened and spread out I couldn’t say.

I must say you and Carl are doing a grand job recording these valley sites SC.
Cheers, there's some cracking stuff and it's very quiet, mostly. It would be good if we can raise the profile of these sites a bit. Also it's a cheap day out for me, because of the excellent rail coverage :)
Sadly there is an unhealthy amount of fly-tipping - there's worse to come from this trip.
