This site just looks fantastic. What a great setting in the woods. I love all the leaves.
I was there for the first half an hour under overcast sky, taking poor pictures which really didn't work out - too dark, too shaky. I sat under the tree to eat my sandwiches and the sun came out as I was a couple of mouthfuls in. What a difference! It is a lovely, lovely site in a beautiful setting. A minor road runs very close by, but only one car passed in the hour I spent there. It felt like its own little world.
Sounds magic. I would love to visit one day.
Loads of stuff round there. The last two sites of the day were Clava cairns, both in Burl. If you have a car you'd fit more in - there are a few hillforts around as well.
