Oh, you should definitely make the effort, I had a nice leisurely day walk between five chambered cairns (with a standing stone and churchyard mound chucked in) and there are plenty more. The weather was a bit poor, it rained all the way on the bus, so the shots are quite dull. On a sunny day this would be beautiful, I shredded my fingers clearing bracken so someone else needs to go and have a look!
You are too modest sir, I love the colours in your photos, not dull at all. I bet it was interesting to walk between the five chambered cairns. Good way to feel the connection between them and also their place in the landscape. A car can be a minus sometimes.
Thank you indeed Mr T. Yeah, well as you know walking is somewhat enforced, but you're quite right, I think you often only really get a sense for how the jigsaw fits on foot. It's informative as to how the land lies between sites, which a car-based trip can sometimes miss. Every contour, sped over in a car, shows up against aching legs! I would love to see some sunnier pics though, so get yerself up there...
Great set of photos tsc. Looks a fine site. Not an area I know that well. I feel a long weekend trip coming on.

That area is excellent for walks!
Hey Drew, Happy Christmas! You missed this one due to darkness, so you'll have to get back there. Take some shears.
