I visited 2 weeks ago today, first since the restoration and what an improvement! Puzzled why they hadn't put all the stones back up but hey, let's be grateful for small mercies. Hadn't been all that impressed 11 years ago but at 7.00am on a beautiful sunny day I got it. Made me wonder about the whole issue of restoring circles and brought to mind another couple of candidates.
I know what you mean, it felt very weird when they first did it, I remember not liking the change! But now, looking back at the pics pre-restoration it definitely was a change for the better.
There are loads that would benefit, whenever the subject is raised on here, this is the one I trot out:
not been here since the restoration. Looks good
It's great. My favourite circle. I'd happily see the other stones put back up straight, but in all honesty it doesn't matter.
Didn't get a chance to get there when I was in Cornwall in May..... too many places to visit in such a short space of time.
Maybe next time. I'm hoping Postie might get to it soon.

I hoped I might too, it looks a good one but alas, it wasn't to be, I did get to Nine stones at Altarnun though.
