I’ve placed these images in the ‘Interpretive’ category since Coflein tentatively interprets this feature, sited a little below the marker cairn to approx west, as evidence of quarrying. On balance I probably... maybe.... agree, since the angle is steeper than usually the case..... but the central stonework DOES look very much like a shattered cist, does it not? More opinion please!
