Just goes to show what may be inside the multitudes of 'cairns' marked on the map, I guess... the Mam C and I climbed Bal Mawr in 2006 and duly ignored it since it's a bit off the main path. Wrong!!
Get yourself to Llanthony Priory and there's a nice circular available if the long ridge walk doesn't appeal again - that's what I did. Quite steep in places... so make sure your hamstring's loose (obviously). The final view into Ewyas from Graig-ddu is possibly the best angle I've seen.
Yeah, there's so much more still to be brought out into the light, at least this website and others helps that cause. I also missed this when on Bal Mawr, but the bus times were not on my side!
Any routes up there always bring new views, it is lovely.
