The site from the west, viewed near Garreg Fraith.... perhaps amongst the the most brutally desolate scenes one could witness in these Isles at times... however, in certain light......
Note that the lower summits of Y Mynydd Du behind the camera are crowned by some seriously large Bronze Age cairns. Garreg Lwyd is by no means unique in this respect. There is also a prehistoric settlement down valley to the right.
