Highlighting the awesome setting of both medieval castle and cave.... the entrance to the latter was walled to act as a dove house and is reached by way of the passageway lighted by the loopholes. The ‘sacred well’ is located – in utter darkness – at the far (inner) end of the cave, a natural basin fed by percolation.
