Looking along the ditch between the western ramparts. The established trees show that this fort has been wooded for a fair while.

There's something about trees on ramparts, though. Don't you think? The site is grimy, the trees exquiste. Nice angle that, SC.
It's a beauty, somehow I expected more rubbish but it's quite clean and tidy. Superb earthwork anyway.
