Retrospective looking approx north-east and highlighting the two roughly parallel ridges of rock providing natural protection to the narrow enclosure within. The enclosure is fortified by a powerful dry stone rampart beyond.

Walking down that narrow gap between rocky ridges, I could almost feel the iron age folk all round me, like being in a street, or at the market. Either way I felt as close to them as anywhere i've yet been.
