What I like - if I'm wrong, please correct me - is that you've not attempted to record the stones, but instead what the stones 'say' to you. There is a world of difference, I think. Capturing something completely intangible? What could be harder for a photographer?
I can see people like Ken Williams are having an influence.... more please.

Again thank you everybody. When I took this it was a beautiful barmy night and deathly quiet. Noises from the surrounding area were drifting across so i could hear what I can only guess were the calls of foxes, which I might add are unnerving at the best of times not least in the small hours after midnight at a moonlit Duddo. Especially when coupled with a friendly warning from the local farmer that there had been poachers about recently! Something I've found about photography is that for me a lot of it isn't about photographs. It's about being in unusual locations like this at irregular hours and having the location all to yourself so you can take it all in. (GLADMAN - If I'm totally honest I would have to say that you've made a good point about capturing the feeling rather than image and in this case I hope I have done that. I hasten to add that I was then and still am wet behind the ears where serious photography is concerned so I think i just got lucky on this occasion. Its a wonderful location.) Thanks again everyone.
You have a real talent, especially If you're still wet behind the ears, as i think it's quite a hard place to get a photo this good, you think it looks like it would take a great photo but very rarely does, bloody great work.
