Great photo and one of my favorite places, the amount of prehistoric settlements and monuments around the area is as much as anywhere, with this cathedral in the middle, a truly special place! [ i see the foundation walls of some ancient building in the foreground of the picture as well ].

The 'building' in the foreground is the remains of St Michael's Chapel....15th century I think

Yes, brilliant, i knew it was known about i just didn't know what it was, great stuff mr Hamhead, great place isn't it?, i'm glad it's not there now though, as it would feel less natural with it.
