I can recommend the Western approach, following more or less , but not slavishly, the path as shown on the OS map( 200 , 1/25,000 ) A bit sqidgey in places, but nothing to worry about. No man swallowing bogs here. You will need a car to get to the start, at a ford over the river at 835/566 approx.
A trip around Lyn Brianne reservoir is worth the effort too.
This really really really is on the list.

Cheers Cerrig, that's all good to know (especially about the lack of man-swallowing bogs).
I lived to tell the tale, so it can't be that bad. If I can puff my way to the top, and then hobble back down again it should be no problem for you.
Ha! It'll have to wait until my stupid leg is better though.
I've got one of them!
Perhaps between us we'd have two decent ones (I mean working ones, I'm not in a position to comment on whether you have nice legs).
LOL, We'd look good strapped together , hopping up a hill. ( I do have nice legs actually)
Is this a "bad leg society" secret meeting place. ?
Can i join. ?
You need the password, and a bad leg. If you're from Yorkshire it has to go to commitee.
