Lacking Mr Cane’s wide angle lens – mine never survived long enough to be of any practical use in the Welsh uplands – this is the eastern part of the Wye’s course. The cliffs to right are the location for nesting peregrines (not a secret, plenty of twitters and RSPB on site), the river the one and the same to be found rising in that muddy pool upon Pumlumon, overlooked by Pen Pumlumon Arwystli’s cairns. Mind blowing, when you think of it.
