British west coast (I was thinking Cornwall really, although the church would need to have a tower not a spire). Clouds off the sea, neat small fields, that kind of thing. Not California though!
No, it's not much like the west coast of California, or Borneo, or New Zealand, typically British. I know what you mean about Cornwall though, Pembrokeshire and Brittany are it's closest relatives
