Well well so it's no wonder it's called the 'yellow stone'. I guess the lichen's been on there a long time.
(possibly the xanthoria parietina, or x. aureola, for lichen geeks. that's just me then.)
Yellow and orange, pink, red, brown, and grey and no slugs at all, the salty air wont agree with them.

You're right it's all sorts of colours really. Perhaps they wanted a snappier name though. It looks like a nice spot.
