View from road 9.6.12
I spotted 2 Barrows on the brow of the hill near a couple of buildings.
Easily seen from the road as grass covered mounds.

But Carl, it's a traditional resting place of St Magnus's body*. Could it really have been that boring? Didn't it have a dramatic view over the sea? Crashing waves? The plaintive cry of the gulls? Could you see the superb sounding Brough Head from there?
Or is it just me that wants Romance and Drama, stuck in my office in the south, listening to the rain hammering the windows? All this darkness is making me grumpier than usual.

it's probably due to the fact I was suffering from a 'bug' so I doubt I was in the mood to appreciate it's importance and surroundings!
