This must have been really impressive in its prime. Nice set of pics as ever.
Thought it was Romano-British at first since it is so big - there are a few of those around Essex - but apparently cremation urns were 'excavated' in 1812..... lovely site, reminding me of Crippets in a Bronze Age sort of way.
