Wow, that is a very moody sky. Very atmospheric.
The moody sky came and dumped a load of near vertical rain on me not much later! Loved the walk along the Cat's Back to get here though.
Oh unlucky! It does look stunning though. Worth a bit of a soaking I'd say.
Gratuitous walking without any ancient cairns, SC? Whatever next?
The weather does seem to be unusually volatile though for an area of such relatively low peaks. The Mam C and I were fair bundled off Black Darren earlier this year by a violent electrical storm, hence missing out on any pics... difficult to get long distance views as well since Red Daren's in the way.
Ha! Not quite - I walked along the length of the Black Mountain ridge to Pandy from here, so there are cairns and a hillfort, just haven't got round to sorting the pics out yet! Couldn't find the alleged Longtown stone circle though, although time was rather against me (as usual).
