The approach to the mountain top cemetery from Cwm Cloch appears daunting to the average punter such as I. But isn’t that the point? There are alternatives which avoid much of the later scree paths (not to be underestimated), but this is generally regarded as the classic approach, with the added convenience of starting from Beddgelert for those arriving by public transport. No sign of any cairns on the skyline, as you would probably expect by now.
