I visited 2 weeks ago today, first since the restoration and what an improvement! Puzzled why they hadn't put all the stones back up but hey, let's be grateful for small mercies. Hadn't been all that impressed 11 years ago but at 7.00am on a beautiful sunny day I got it. Made me wonder about the whole issue of restoring circles and brought to mind another couple of candidates.	Posted by ironstone 21st August 2013ce
I know what you mean, it felt very weird when they first did it, I remember not liking the change! But now, looking back at the pics pre-restoration it definitely was a change for the better.
