Agreed. Nice one(s). The more atmospheric the shot, or fieldnote for that matter, the more folk will come or at least care. I haven't been to Wet Withens, despite local, but hope to put that right over the winter, health willing. Have just clicked on the 'sites within 20km' : wow, what an area.
Thanks, this one has been on the list right from almost the start, along with the Barbrooks, but never been before. Been poorly the last few months, so filling in easier gaps and reminding myself how much I love stone circles. As for fieldnotes, I rarely seem to have the energy and sometimes others' negativity on here can be enough to put me off bothering.
Yeah, get writing again. I've already committed to putting some of this year's notes on NW Scotland in order soon. I agree it can be difficult knowing there are people who despise what you are doing - and have clearly nurtured that dislike for years; however I know there are others who like it. The ideal, though, is to inspire those who maybe think... 'not bad.. but I can do better so I will make the attempt'.
Thank you, good thoughts appreciated! Nothing life-threatening, just tiring and unpleasant, but hopefully mending. Mr Postman might let me go and play outside again soon.
Just looking at pics of Sunkenkirk. Just thinking how you TSC & everybody else on here help to open up my mind; help me to see what a wonderful space in time I live in. Help me to really see what is everywhere around me if only I take the care & lovingly given direction to look. You & others on here, to me, are giving a gift that is priceless. Soppy git. Get well x
Thanks Moss and Carol, tis very heartening and cheering to get such positive messages. I have a note saying that I'm allowed out on Thursday, as long as I'm supervised.
Been a while since I wandered up to the peaks; for what it's worth I think you are now taking some pretty atmospheric shots.

Well... you need to get writing again. There are a variety of styles on here and we need something to balance Chris's manic lunacy...
Nah SC, agree with everybody the pics are excl, get cracking with these notes and take the health thing on...head on :-)
Mend vibes from another who's been palsied for the past few months~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks all, am on the mend slowly - there's much to be said for being reintroduced to the reasons I got obsessed in the first place anyway :)

Will try harder with the fieldnotes :)
To the Veterans of TMA - keep on writing and putting on photos of practically inaccessible places please.....
Get better soon TSC, and Gladman I love your writing, it is especially good for us 'armchair readers'.
