In Edmund Bogg's book 'Higher Wharfedale' (1904) chapter IX 'Burnsall and Grassington' he writes with reference to Grassington "On the south side of the ancient settlement there is a circle of stones, the scene of a supposed druidical enclosure". This is all he offers, but in additon there is a photo/painting showing what appears to be 5-6 large stones in the foreground and a large arc of stones going into the distance. If the picture is to be believed the circle is huge.
Nothing is shown on OS maps of Grassington. I wondered whether anyone else has come accross a reference to this site, if it existed, and whether anything is still there?
