I think there was a soviet version on Michael Palin's programme last night. He was in Lithuania (or somewhere nearby) and someone said 'ah in the days of the soviet rule, there was a factory over here making boots for left feet, and in the next town was the factory making the right boots.'
I thought.. hmm.
