Absolutely excellent advice - thanks for that! SO much more civilised and effective than me screaming at some poor call centre worker to fuck off. My line is plagued by these people because the person who lived here before me is still giving the number out willingly. I've got TPS but if your telephone number is given with a name then TPS won't screen the call. The junk mail thing I have done from time to time and a damn good idea it is too. But LORDY LORDY wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have all this shite to deal with in the first place?

I find it so difficult when the calls are from India. Some poor woman was obvioulsy asked to call herself 'Senga' (a dead Scottish name), and kept saying that really polite/shy high rising quintessentially Indian 'please' at the end of each sentence.
You know they're getting shit wages and have obviously tried ten times harder to even get that compapred to us (working in another lanuage, even tho' I realise English is integral to their schooling system).
I tend to ignore anything that reads 'private caller' if I can help it, or those ones that have stupid numbers like 4444 or something.
